4 November 2014. On 30 November 2014, Switzerland will again be facing an exciting voting Sunday. The popular initiatives “Stop the tax privileges for millionaires”, “Stop overpopulation (Ecopop)” and “Save our Swiss gold (Gold Initiative)” are controversial political issues on the domestic front. And this country is also facing big challenges in terms of foreign politics, as the public discussion about relations with the EU reveals.
These and other topics will be discussed by the politicians at the HSG. The panel will consist of
• Jacqueline Fehr, National Councillor, Social Democrats (SP)
• Brigitte Häberli-Koller, Councillor of States, Christian Democrats (CVP)
• Karin Keller-Sutter, Councillor of States, FDP.The Liberals
• Natalie Rickli, National Councillor, Swiss Popular Party (SVP)
The discussion will be chaired by Christine Maier, editor of the Sonntagsblick newspaper and former editor and presenter of the “10 vor 10” news magazine of Swiss television.
The event is open to the public, admission will be free. A round of questions asked by the audience will conclude the discussion.
