Anniversary celebration on the Executive Campus
The topic of the private event will be “Views and insights from economy, culture and sports”. To begin with, the former academic directors Rolf Dubs and Jürg Manella and the present academic director Wolfgang Jenewein will take guests on a journey through the EMBA HSG’s quarter century. Subsequently, Raiffeisen CEO Dr. Pierin Vincenz will speak about Switzerland as a financial centre. The Swiss writer Urs Widmer will give a lecture about art and money. Challenges in top-class sports will be discussed by Ralf Rangnick, sports director of the professional football teams Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig. The celebration will be rounded off by a panel discussion with EMBA HSG alumni.
Worldwide network with 1,900 alumni
The Executive MBA HSG in General Management was launched in 1987. Initially, the programme was still called “Postgraduate Course in Corporate Management”. Today, the part-time executive education course is spread over 20 months. Besides compulsory, elective and foreign-country modules focusing on business administration and economics, the programme also contains courses on personal development and project work. The programme provides participants with a high degree of flexibility and individual course design options. Thus they are able to complete their studies in 20 to a maximum of 48 months depending on their own course configuration choices.
In September 1990, former students set up the Alumni EMBA HSG network. With just under 1,900 members throughout the world, the organisation is now one of Europe’s biggest alumni associations. The network also financed the Campus Hotel, which was inaugurated in 2008.
