Between 1991 and 2003, Paul de Grauwe worked in various functions in the Belgian parliament – as a senator, as a member of parliament and as Chairman of the Economic and Finance Committee. Finally, his judgement is also in demand in European politics, for instance as a member of the Group of Economic Policy Analysis, which advises EU Commission President José Manuel Baroso. Paul de Grauwe’s commitment to science and economic policy led him to professorships and visiting professorships at many universities and institutions in Asia, Europe and the US.
