Joachim Stonig is a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the Institute of Management & Strategy, University of St. Gallen. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Liechtenstein and a master’s degree in Strategy and International Management from the University of St. Gallen. His work experience includes four years as a strategy consultant based in Paris, before he completed his Ph.D. at the University of St. Gallen.
Joachim’s research program focuses on understanding the transformation processes of established firms in the context of changing business ecosystems. His research has been published in leading academic and practitioner-oriented journals, including Strategic Management Journal. His teaching covers ecosystems, strategic change, and the fundamentals of strategic management across undergraduate, master’s, and executive education levels.
