Base-Camp

Welcome to the Base Camp!

Welcome to the Base Camp!

Embark on a micro adventure that combines learning about sustainability, collaborating with your peers, immersing in nature, and engaging with local stakeholders – all the while helping you build the skille you need to contribute to a regenerative future.

We have put together a packing list (see below) for you so that you are well prepared for the adventure and can face it with joy but also the necessary amount of composure.

Tips: If you're missing something on the list, you're sure to have friends or acquaintances who can lend you the items you need. A note – while we’re spending a night outdoors, you do not need a tent – but please follow closely the packing list (below).

Monday: Arrival, course introduction, group hike with assignments, farm visit, fireside chat with local business

Tuesday: Introduction to key sustainability concepts and frameworks, keynote from town leadership, exchange with local business leaders, creating research teams, site visits and interviews in teams, individual and group reflection and sensemaking

Wednesday: Introduction to sufficiency and circular economy, individual and group activities in nature, cooking and sleeping outside

Thursday: Concluding the nature immersion, additional stakeholder interviews, building new teams, co-creating local sustainable development with global impact

Friday: Individual and group reflection and sensemaking, wrapping up, next steps, cleaning

Note: We kindly request that all students be prepared to contribute to cooking and cleaning over the course of the week.
