The Programme Regulations and the Course Scheme give the legal basis for the rules outlined in the fact sheet. The Award Regulations and the Implementation Provisions apply to all doctoral programmes at the University of St.Gallen.

The Factsheet 21 applies to all students who start the Ph.D. in fall 2021 or later. The Factsheet 19 applies to all students who started in spring 2020 or earlier and did not hand in their research proposal before August 2019. The Factsheet 17 applies per default to all students who handed in the research proposal before August 2019, but these students may opt into the Factsheet 19 if they so wish.
