New Assistant Professor of IT Management

We warmly welcome as our newly appointed Assistant Professor (with tenure track) of IT Management as of 1 February 2024: Prof. Dr. Andreas Hein

Prof. Dr. Andreas Hein studied Information Systems at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2013. Afterwards, he worked for two years at IBM Global Business Services in the Inhouse Consulting Department on IT Management projects. After this practical work experience, he studied for a Master's degree in Information Systems at the Technical University of Munich and graduated with a Master of Science in 2017. Following this, he completed his doctorate at the Technical University of Munich with a thesis on “Digital Platform Ecosystems: Emergence and Value Co-Creation Mechanisms” in 2020. Since 2020, he has been leading a research group on Digital Transformation at the Technical University of Munich. He has also had research stays at Temple University in Philadelphia in the USA and Cambridge University in the UK.

Andreas Hein's focus has been on empirical-qualitative and design-oriented work. He specialises in Information Systems and IT Management but is also active in the field of eGovernment.

Andreas Hein already has a broad teaching portfolio at the Bachelor's and Master's level in IT management and executive education on IT security and privacy and digital platform ecosystems.

Andreas Hein will be affiliated with the Institute of Information Systems IWI-HSG.
