On 8 September 2025, the Financial Times published its 2025 rankings of international Masters in Management programmes, placing the University of St.Gallen’s (HSG) Master in Strategy and International Management programme (SIM-HSG) in the top position for a record-setting fourteenth time.
“Our SIM programme enables students to become globally minded, responsible business leaders and supports them in their journey towards a purposeful career,” said new SIM-HSG Managing Director Dr Joachim Stonig.
The SIM combines academic rigour and managerial relevance through an integrative and interdisciplinary learning experience. The programme attracts students with a strong sense of leadership, a growth mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit, as well as a drive to have a positive and sustainable impact. SIM graduates are part of the lively and active SIM Community, a powerful network of more than 1000 members.
Based on an annual survey of business schools and their alumni, the Financial Times ranking weighs different criteria ranging from international mobility, quality of faculty, career services and salary. The Financial Times Masters in Management ranking has long been a respected voice looking at academic excellence worldwide.
By maintaining the top spot in this year’s ranking, SIM outperformed over 100 top educational establishments offering Masters in Management programmes globally. HEC Paris and Insead were ranked in the second and third position, respectively.
