Children’s University 2025 – Of Bears, Money, and Big Emotions

Attention, students in grades 3 to 6! Prepare for exciting adventures at the Children's University. Here, you'll encounter fascinating discoveries, surprising "wow!" moments, and a generous helping of fun.

Curious about the secret behind FC St.Gallen or why the Gallus bear holds such significance? Eager to explore the art of experimentation and understand why people behave the way they do? Then the Children's University is the perfect place for you! In engaging lectures, you'll also learn how children from other countries find new families in Switzerland and whether we'll soon live without cash.

The Children's University lectures are designed for students in grades 3 to 6. As in every autumn, the Children's University offers insights into the diverse research fields of professors at the University of St.Gallen:

    Mission Gallus Bear: The Secret Behind FC St.Gallen
    Prof. Dr. Karolin Frankenberger, Professor of Strategic Management and Innovation, University of St.Gallen
     
  • Wednesday, 5 November:
    The Art of Experimenting – Unveiling the Secrets of Human Behavior
    Prof. Dr. Emanuel de Bellis, Associate Professor of Empirical Research Methods, University of St.Gallen
     
  • Wednesday, 12 November:
    Adoption from Abroad: How Children Find a New Family in Switzerland
    Prof. Dr. Rita Kesselring, Associate Professor of Urban Studies, University of St.Gallen
     
  • Wednesday, 19 November:
    The Fascinating Journey of Money: Will We Soon Live Without Cash?
    Dr. Tobias Trütsch, Managing Director, Center for Financial Services Innovation, University of St.Gallen


All lectures take place from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. in the Library Building of the University of St.Gallen (Audimax, Room A 09-010). Registration is required and grants children admission to the Audimax. Participation is free of charge.
