Prof. Dr. Henrik Lekkas has been Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship/Owner-Managed Firms at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) since 1 February 2026.

Prof. Dr. Henrik Lekkas was most recently an Assistant Professor (tenure track) at IE Business School in Madrid. Prior to that, he earned his doctorate at the University of St.Gallen.

Research on decision-making in owner-managed companies

Prof. Dr. Henrik Lekkas' research focuses on how entrepreneurial communication influences fundraising, partnerships, and strategies, bridging the gap between theory and practice. The core subjects of his work are entrepreneurial communication and heuristics, as well as decision-making in owner-managed companies. In his work, he conducts AI-supported experiments and quantitative field studies, building his own data sets for this purpose. He publishes in leading academic subject journals such as the Journal of Management, as well as journals for practice such as the Harvard Business Review. His work has also been reported on in media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal. His research findings serve as guidance for investors and political decision-makers and improve real-world fundraising and strategy processes.

Prof. Dr. Henrik Lekkas' teaching philosophy aims to inspire and challenge students and equip them with the necessary skills.
