28 January 2010. Winfried Ruigrok will take office as from 1 February 2011. He will succeed Prof. Dr. Peter Gomez. The former HSG President is stepping down after a six-year term of office at the ES-HSG.
Lifelong learning
The ES-HSG unites the numerous executive education programmes of the University of St.Gallen (HSG) under one umbrella. The Executive School promotes the lifelong, holistic learningof leaders in management, technology and law. It deals with topics from business administration and economics, but also from law, humanities and social sciences, and political science. Most of the Master’s, diploma and certificate programmes are held on the Executive Campus HSG, not far from the HSG Campus.
About 4,000 students
The HSG’s Executive School was set up in 2005. Its German- and English-language programmes, as well as its partnerships with institutions abroad, make a great contribution towards internationality, but also towards the University of St.Gallen’s value creation in the region. About half of the approximately 4,000 students per year come from foreign countries. The Executive School’sextensive portfolio with more than 200 executive education programmes is the biggest of its kind in Switzerland.
