HSG President's board re-elected

The Government of the Canton of St.Gallen has approved the re-election of the leaders of the University of St.Gallen by the Senate and the University’s Board of Governors for the two-year term 2017-2019.

5 February 2016. The current President's Board of the University of St.Gallen with President Prof. Dr. Thomas Bieger, Vice-President Prof. Dr. Ulrike Landfester (External Relations), Vice-President Prof. Dr. Lukas Gschwend (Studies & Academic Affairs) und Vice-President Prof. Dr. Kuno Schedler (Research & Faculty) were re-elected for another two-year term (2017-2019) of office.  

According to the University Statutes, the President and the Vice-Presidents of the University of St.Gallen are elected from among the (full) professors. The election takes place by the Board of Governors on application of the Senate and has to be approved by the Government. Re-elections and new elections take place every two years.

This make-up of the President's Board will be in place until 31 January 2019. President Thomas Bieger also informed the Senate that this will be his last term as President.
