Free Digital Week at the Executive School

The University of St.Gallen is launching its very first Digital Week in the area of executive education. The seven free webinars on the topic of digitisation will take place between 17 and 20 June 2019.

7 June 2019. The Executive School at the HSG is shining a light on the topic of digitalisation from the managerial, technological and legal perspectives over the course of seven webinars in English, which are open and free of charge to any interested parties near or far. The focus will be on specific aspects of digitalisation and their effects on companies, whereby insights from research, tools and “best practices” will be explained first-hand by proven experts from the University of St.Gallen.

Challenges for companies

Participants are invited to get involved in the discussion and put questions to the professors during the live online sessions. The presentations will last around 20 to 25 minutes and are free of charge. Anyone wishing to participate simply has to register at https://unisg.link/digital-week. "The aim of our digital week is to present the challenges companies are facing in the area of digitalisation in compact segments within one week and to present the various facets to participants in more detail," explains Friederike Rieder, Head of Marketing at the Executive School of the University of St.Gallen.

Digitalisation is more than automation

Digitalisation is more than the automation of processes. It penetrates all areas of a company, impacting both marketing and HR and influencing the management and culture of a business. During the Digital Week from 17 to 20 June 2019, the following questions will be addressed in individual webinars: What are the cornerstones of a digital market strategy? What influence does digitalisation have on collaboration within the company, for example: "fluid structures", virtual teams and collaborations in networks? How can I utilise the potential of big data and artificial intelligence within the company and how do I successfully lead the company towards becoming a data-based organisation?

No industry is immune to digitalisation. Even law firms are facing new challenges. The possible effects on the legal industry will likewise be discussed during Digital Week.
