The HSG at the OFFA

The public services of the University of St.Gallen will present themselves at the 40th OFFA Spring and Trend Fair.

14 April 2016. From 13-17 April 2016, the University of St.Gallen will be represented at the OFFA for the second time. Visitors will be able to experience the University Library at close quarters at a stall modelled on the library. The HSG’s librarians will present the University Library’s public services such as lending, research, advice and the readings of "The other book at the Uni" series.

Body and mind

Besides the library services, the University will also present the Children’s University and its public lecture courses at its stand. About 40 lectures – the HSG’s lectures for everyone, which have been given ever since 1898 – with a wide gamut of topics ranging from economics, language and literature to history, sociology, politics and psychology – attract an audience of several thousand people from the region every semester. More than ten years ago, the Children’s University was added to the programme; every year, it familiarises up to 2,000 primary school pupils with university education.

At the University’s stand, Unisport will add the "Kronberg Family Days" exercise, fun and sports event to the HSG’s public services. Unisport will be running the Family Days in cooperation with the Kronberg cable car company for the sixth time. Prospective participants will be able to find out what their families may expect with regard to games, sports and fun on 29 and 30 May 2016.
