14. February 2013. Six HSG professors will report on challenges faced by Switzerland’s economic policy. Starting on 21 February, the speakers will provide information about the health sector, childcare, tax competition, disability insurance, competition policy and old-age insurance. The lectures will take place at the University of St.Gallen on Thursdays from 8.15 p.m.
The first lecture will be given on 21 February by Prof. Dr. Gebhard Kirchgässner on “Problems of the health sector”. On the second evening, on 28 February, Prof. Dr. Christina Felfe will deal with “Childcare in Switzerland”. On 7 March, Prof. Dr. Martin Kolmar will speak about “Intercantonal and international tax competition: perspectives for Switzerland”.
On 14 March, Prof. Dr. Eva Deuchert will lecture on “Problems of disability insurance”. On 21 March, Prof. Dr. Stefan Bühler will focus on “Current challenges in competition policy” while on 28 March, Prof. Dr. Monika Bütler will deal with the question, “What is old-age insurance expected to insure in old age?”
