10 December 2010. About 40 students from all over Europe will have discussions with Nobel prize winners and other outstanding personalities during the Challenge the Best Conference. The cross-generational dialogue will be organised by the HSG’s Student Union for the second time after 2010.

Exchange with Nobel prize winners
From 25-27 March 2011, student participants will prepare for the Conference in seminars. During the actual event on 28 March, groups of eight students each will discuss with a guest how Europe’s societies will be able to profit from their diversity in the 21st century. They will present their action approaches in a panel discussion. In this way, the students selected will have an opportunity to engage in direct exchanges with Nobel prize winners, international experts and politicians.

Essay competition running until 29 January 2011
Students will be able apply for participation as from now until 29 January 2011 at www.challengethebest.org. In essays or project documentations, they will be able to explain their ideas and experiences with regard to “Human Diversity in Europe”. They will be selected by an academic advisory board largely made up of faculty of the University of St.Gallen.
