Patrick Guidon appointed as Honorary Professor

In its December meeting, the Senate of the University of St.Gallen appointed Dr. Patrick Guidon, President of the St.Gallen Cantonal Court, as Honorary Professor of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law as from 1 February 2018.

1 February 2018. Patrick Guidon has been involved in various courses at all levels of the University of St.Gallen for many years. Furthermore, he is active in Executive Education, both in the CAS in Criminal Procedural Law of the IRP-HSG and in Business Law for Managers (WRM-HSG), as well as in the CAS in Compliance Management at the ES-HSG. His commitment to teaching is greatly appreciated by students.

 

Despite his many functions, he is the author of regular publications. His important comment on Arts. 393-397 of the Swiss Criminal Procedure Code in the Basel Comments on the Criminal Procedure Code/Juvenile Criminal Procedure Code is a notable case in point.

 

Dr. Guidon is an influential personality with an extensive network as a judge, academic and lecturer in the field of criminal law and criminal procedural law both in Eastern Switzerland and at a national level. With his attachment to the University of St.Gallen and his many years of successful work he satisfies in an outstanding way the requirements for a personality to be appointed Honorary Professor.
