Kausch Prize for Norbert Herzig Prof. Dr. Norbert Herzig, Cologne, will be awarded the 2010 Dr. Kausch Prize for his services to research and practice in the field of financial and corporate accounting. 12 April 2011. Norbert Herzig will be awarded the prize for his services to the establishment of a linkage between accounting and company taxation. Norbert Herzig, who was born in 1945, received his doctor’s degree in Cologne, where he also habilitated. For some years, he worked as a tax consultant and chartered accountant. He has been a professor at the University of Cologne and Director of the Tax Seminar since 1991. Prize to be awarded at the HSG The public award ceremony will take place at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) on 14 April 2011. The prize amounts to CHF 100,000. According to Prof. Dr. Carl Helbling, the president of the jury, the Dr. Kausch-Preis, which has been awarded annually since 1984, is the richest prize in the field of accounting.
