Increasing levels of volatility in oil prices over the last five years, and uncertainty over future prices, led researchers at the University of St.Gallen to survey customer preferences in choosing green energy for residential buildings in Switzerland in an effort to understand the behaviour of consumer decision-making, and to reveal some of the obstacles of renewables moving from eco-niche to mass market.
