6 December 2010. This is shown in the annual European Business Schools Ranking, which was published in London today. The HSG has gained 14 places since 2009 and is now in 16th place among the 75 universities included in the ranking.

A big step nearer the goal
“We have thus come a big step closer to our goal of occupying a place among the top ten of this Europe-wide ranking,” says Ernst Mohr, the President of the University of St.Gallen. “A top position in this ranking underlines the HSG’s claim to be one of Europe’s leading business universities.”

Number 1 in the German-speaking area
In 16th place, the HSG is distinctly the best among the business universities in the German-speaking area. The top places are occupied by HEC Paris, the London Business School, Insead (Paris/Singapore/Abu Dhabi), IMD (Lausanne) and IE Business School (Madrid).
