28 April 2010. On Thursday, 6 May, Dominic Barton, the Global Managing Director of McKinsey & Company, will give a lecture for students and the general public. On the first day of the Symposium from 4 p.m. in the HSG Library (B-Building), the Canadian will be speaking on “What comes across my desk”. This “background session” is open to students and anyone else who is interested. The lecture will be given in English.

Challenges for the economy and politics
Dominic Barton will acquaint the audience with the valuable experience that he has gained over the years in conversation with decision-makers from the economy and politics. The focus will be on the challenges and opportunities which top-level leaders in the economy and politics will have to confront. This also raises the question as to whether any trends can be derived from their experience and perceptions.

Patrouille Suisse in the sky above St.Gallen
During the 40th St. Gallen Symposium, on Thursday, 6 May, and on Friday, 7 May, between 1.40 and 2.05 p.m., the Patrouille Suisse will perform an air show above the communities of St.Gallen, Gaiserwald, Mörschwil and Wittenbach.

In the context of its jubilee, the St. Gallen Symposium would like to underline its important and close ties with the City of St.Gallen that go back 40 years, and express its thanks to the local population. Together with the participants of the St. Gallen Symposium, the organizers invite the general public to enjoy the air show.
