The NCJSR database contains summaries of over 189,000 American and international publications, including publications of the federal, state and local agencies, books, research reports, journal articles, audio-visual presentations and unpublished research on the subject of criminal law and criminology. Most legal rulings are not included. The database was developed to satisfy the needs of criminal legal staff, researchers and policy makers as well as technical and legal experts. The documents are either written in English or have a summary in English.
