Access and Contact
Our collections and the provision of information are available to everyone on an open access basis.
You can search our collections by querying the catalog of the St.Gallen State Archive. Use the full text search (search by keywords and filters) and the archive plan search (navigating search). Alternatively, you can contact the University Archives team, and we will be happy to assist you with your query.
In general, we will send you digital copies of the requested documents or photos. If you wish to consult the original documents, you can do so in the reading room of the State Archive or in the office of the University Archives at Dufourstrasse 48 (no reading room infrastructure). In any case, please contact us in advance so that we can provide the requested files in time.
If you have documents, data or photos related to the University, we would be pleased to accept them in the University Archives. As valuable time witnesses personal documents are particularly important to us as they often do not find their way to us.
