Faculties and Research
The members of the SoM are involved in numerous institutes, faculties and centers.
The majority of our research is conducted at the around 30 institutes and 40 research institutes.
Exceptional institute model
The institute model at the University of St.Gallen is quite different from other universities in Switzerland. This federal concept reflects the exceptional academic character of the HSG and its research culture.
A high level of practical relevance
Our institutes operate for the most part as autonomous units, run like businesses and with a strong practical relevance. The institutes specialise in economics, law as well as the humanities and social sciences. Our research is thus highly diverse. Numerous research projects are funded privately by third parties.
