We believe that academic research needs to engage with pressing issues of our times. This means that we are dedicated to analysing intersecting forms of structural inequality and ensuing struggles for justice. Our team of researchers and collaborators come from a range of disciplinary backgrounds from the social sciences and humanities. They draw on a variety of methodologies, and work with academics, activists, civic society bodies and government organisations to make visible structures of hierarchy and power in Britain and its former colonies.
