Languages in the Assessment Year On this page, you will find information about language courses and language requirements and proofs for the Assessment Year. Language Requirements for Admission to the Assessment Year For admission to the assessment year, all incoming students with a foreign language diploma must show proof of their German knowledge at the B2 levels of the Gemeinsamen Europäischen Referenzrahmens (GER), so long as their native language is not German. Language Proof at the Assessment Year Under the heading "Cultural Awareness", all students of the assessment year must bring proof of proficiency in a foreign language as part of the contextual studies. The students have a choice amongst 9 different languages, which will help to expand their educational horizon and to improve their interaction with foreign cultures. Intensive Courses and Workshops for New Incoming Students For non-native speaking students, the Language Center offers the Intensive Course "Studiensprache Deutsch" as well as "English of Academic Studies".
