HSG-Library moves to the basement due to renovation work

From the 08.03.2021 until approximately the start of the autumn term 2021 the library will relocate to the basement of the library building. This is due to ongoing refurbishments in the library. In spite of the renovation, the HSG library offers a multitude of services.

Throughout the renovations we are available to you in the basement. We are happy to supply you during this time with literature, help you with your research or offer access to information.

Service Point

From Monday, 8 March 2021, our Serivce Point will be located in the basement of the libary building (watch out for the signage!). The entrance is located on the south side of the library building.

There we will offer you the following services:

Borrowing and returns of media
2 Research PCs (Bloomberg and Eikon not available)
Photocopying, scanning and printing

Opening hours Service Point

Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Libary closings

The library will remain completly closed on a few days to move our infrastructure:

Borrowing media / Ordering documents and articles

Step 1:You can order any media form our collection comfortably from home from HSGswisscovery.

Step 2:As soon as we prepared your order at the Service Point, you receive a pick up invitation on your mail adress.

Step 3:Pick your order up from our Service Point. Note our reduced opening hours.

Placed orders (from the collection on site) until 2 p.m. receive a pick up invitation the same day.
Order media as ususal to the Bibliothek Hauptpost or the SLSP-courier libraries . Check the information on courier and interlibrary loan.
Alternatively, we can send them to you by post (CHF 12.- per medium). Ordering articles is possible as usual (CHF 5.-/20 pages).

Media return

During opening hours at the Service Point
Outside the opening hours use the media return box in front of the library building
At the Bibliothek Hauptpost near the train station in St. Gallen or at the other SLSP-courier libraries

E-Resources

Our E-Resources (access with VPN) are available to university members and HSG students around the clock.

We are also happy to receive your suggestions for the purchase of electronic content and strive to procure them quickly.

Study space

The library building will remain closed during the renovations with the exception of the circulaiton desk in the basement. We are sorry that we can not offer you any study spaces in that time. There will be workspace in the main building. Our seatfinder lists from 8 March 2021 the current offer on working space at Campus.
