Integrated Master and Ph.D. programme in Economics and Finance (MPEF) The MPEF is a new integrating option for MiQEF and MECON students leading directly to the Ph.D. Programme in Economics and Finance (PEF). The Integrated Master and Ph.D. programme in Economics and Finance (MPEF) is an integrating option for Economics Master's students that leads directly to the Ph.D. in Economics and Finance (PEF): Admission is into MEcon or MiQE/F, is competitive and by application only: excellent Bachelor's students qualifying for admittance to the Economics Master's programmes, who appear to have the potential of producing interesting and relevant academic research, and who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Economics, Econometrics and Finance should apply. Application deadlines (external applicants): 1 October to 30 April Only two semesters of predefined Master's courses; the second year's curriculum consists of PEF elective courses, a Master's thesis and a research proposal for the Ph.D. Evaluation of progress after one year. Successful students enter the second year, attend PEF elective courses, write the Master's Thesis and the PEF research proposal. After completion of the second year, students receive the Master's degree and progress with the PEF. By completing the MPEF, the Ph.D. programme PEF becomes shorter by at least 12 months (from the beginning of the Master's to the end of the Ph.D.). If you have any questions please contact us.
