International network People of diverse backgrounds are central to our university. Our international networks offer ideal opportunities and a point of departure for our students during their time here. With about 50% international faculty and 34% foreign students from 87 nations, we are an international and multicultural institution. Our international student body holds the many English-language programmes in high esteem. Partner universities Our 200 partner universities allow our students to take part in many different exchange semesters around the world. Hubs and international networks HSG hubs in Singapore and São Paulo In close cooperation with our hubs (Institutes) in Singapore and São Paulo we offer special exchange opportunities. Our local support staff helps to ensure everything runs smoothly and is always available to answer your questions. International networks Our students also have the opportunity to benefit from membership and cooperation with international networks such as CEMS, PIM or APSIA. CEMS is a strategic alliance that links some of the world’s leading business universities and multinational companies. PIM - Partnership in International Management is a network of the world’s leading business universities. We are a member of the “Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA)”. APSIA is an association made up of universities in North America, Asia and Europe and is dedicated to improving professional education in the field of international relations. English-language programmes Bachelor's degree course Studies begin with the Assessment Year. There is an option between studying in German (German Track) or in English (English Track). After the Assessment Year, the majors in Business Administration, Economics and International Affairs can be completed in a flexible mix of English and German. In the course of their English-language Bachelor studies, students must complete at least two of the course's elements in German. Language courses are on offer. Master's programmes We offer eight English-language Master’s programmes (M.A. HSG) to help you reach your international educational goals: • Marketing, Services and Communication Management (MSC) • Accounting and Finance (MAccFin) • Strategy and International Management (SIM) • Banking and Finance (MBF) • Economics (MEcon) • Quantitative Economics and Finance (MiQE/F) • International Affairs and Governance (MIA) • International Law (MIL) Double degree in English-language programmes Exceptional students have the option of taking part in our double degree programme with prestigious partners such as Bocconi Milan, ESADE Barcelona, HEC Paris, NTU Singapore, RSM Rotterdam, Fletcher School, Boston and Sciences Po, Paris. As a member of the CEMS, the global alliance for excellence in management education, we also belong to the CEMS MIM programme (Master’s in International Management). HSG Alumni Our alumni association has existed for more than 80 years, making it the oldest and perhaps most influential of its kind in central Europe. 188 alumni clubs on five continents HSG Alumni is the University of St.Gallen’s official alumni association. With about 26,000 members, 188 alumni clubs on five continents and more than 300 annual events it is one of the most active alumni organisations in Europe. The goal of HSG Alumni is to promote networking among former students and to maintain their ties with their alma mater. Mission of HSG Alumni Generating benefit: We create value for our members – and call for their commitment. Interlinking: We are the community of all graduates of the University of St.Gallen. Funding and support: We contribute towards the development of the University of St.Gallen and support its students. HSG Alumni is a not-for-profit, independent organisation that works closely with the university. The work of the volunteer board is supported and coordinated by a permanent office in St.Gallen.
