Organisational matters On this page, you will find useful information about organisational matters regarding the Freshers’ Week 2017 at the University of St.Gallen. Senior students support each group Our Freshers' Week groups consist of approximately 24 new students coming from different backgrounds and they are led by two tutors (i.e. peer support by senior students). The members of the support crew, who are responsible for important support processes, ensure a smooth operation. The tutors as well as the members of the support crew are specially trained for the Freshers' Week and prepared individually for their challenging tasks. Programme The extensive Freshers’ Week programme lasts all day - i.e., from morning till evening - leaving little or no room for looking for accommodation, doing your shopping or visiting offices and running errands. In this case, it is advisable for students to settle in and accustom themselves in St.Gallen well before the start of the Freshers’ Week. Introduction to the HSG IT infrastructure During "InfoTools", the IT introduction sessions during the Freshers’ Week, students will receive their password letters with personal user information, which allows unrestricted access to the HSG IT systems relevant to their studies. The process for allocating courses and study groups in the Assessment Year (bidding) is part of the programme of the Freshers' Week. Catering During the Freshers’ Week, the canteen or University Restaurant of the University of St.Gallen is open to all new students and participants. In addition, the cafeteria of the university and the Freshers’ Week Café are also open during the Freshers’ Week.
