Application process To ensure that your application as a Freemover is considered, please follow these instructions. Guest semester dates You may apply for Autumn or Spring semester at the University of St.Gallen. Application and admin fee To be able to apply as a Freemover at the University of St.Gallen you need to pay an application and admin fee of CHF 250 via HSG payment portal. This fee will not be refunded under any circumstances. Applications will only be processed after the payment of the application and admin fee. Application period Your application must be completed electronically by the application deadline in our online application platform: Online Platform The electronic application may only be submitted within the following periods: Autumn semester: 1 March - 31 March Spring semester: 1 September - 30 September Application documents: Passport photo Copy of passport or ID card Matura transcript/certificate of eligibility for university entrance* current grade transcript* Applicants at Master's level: Bachelor diploma supplement with with detailed grade information* Confirmation of matriculation at your current home university that confirms your matriculation as a full-time student and that you are permitted to continue your degree course at your home university following the exchange semester CV copy of payment confirmation of application and admin fee (non-refundable) Signed application confirmation *original or certified copies only. Foreign transcripts, which are not in German/French/Italian or English, must be submitted in their original language together with a certified translation. In case of a successful application, original copies of all transcripts have to be handed in at Student Mobility at the beginning of the exchange semester. Submission deadlines Autumn semester: 31 March Spring semester: 30 September Your application file must be completed electronically in the online application portal. If a complete application file is not received by the deadline, the application will not be processed. Admission decision Only a limited number of Freemover students will be admitted. If the number of applications exceeds the number of available places, students will be chosen through a selection process, where academic achievements are decisive. Only complete applications will be processed after the submission deadline. Applicants will be notified about the admission decisions in mid-April for Autumn semester and mid-October for Spring semester. The application and admin fee will not be refunded regardless of the result.
