Scholarships for exchange students We offer two types of scholarships for guest students: Swiss-European Mobility Programme Scholarships and Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships. Swiss-European Mobility Programme Scholarship (former Erasmus) Following the Swiss referendum „on mass immigration“ in February 2014, the European Union suspended negotiations on Switzerland’s full participation in Erasmus+, and declared Switzerland a third party country. In March 2014 the Swiss Government decided to prepare an interim solution of indirect participation in Erasmus+. The interim solution is called Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP). SEMP scholarship requirements You must be matriculated at a European partner university of the University of St.Gallen which participates in the EU educational Programme. Your home university must nominate you by the deadline Maximal support period: 3 - 12 months Details You must fill in and sign a grant agreement and upload it in the Mobility Online System. You must fill in and sign a learning agreement and upload it in the Mobility Online system. The scholarship will be paid provided that you have uploaded the grant agreement, the learning agreement, and the final report by the deadlines. Payment: 5 months for one semester, 10 months for two semesters Grants 2017/18 Country of home university Student mobility for studies (per month) AT, DK, FI, FR, IE, IT, NO, SE, UK CHF 360 BE, CZ, DE, ES, HR, HU, NL, PL, PT, TR CHF 420 SEMP/Special Needs: Students with special needs who have applied for the SEMP scholarship by the deadline can apply for additional SEMP special needs funds.
