As a Managing Director of Schuchter Management Ltd. Alexander supports people and businesses in preventing, revealing & dealing with Fraud. Conducting talks and interviews with fraudsters has given him deep insights.

He has been lecturing at the University of St. Gallen since 2010. He has also been lecturing together with Ivo Hoppler on Economic Crime and corporate resilience to Master’s level at the ETH and University of Zurich since 2014. As an author, he has had practical and scientific books and articles published with or by companies such as Ernst & Young, KPMG, SIX Swiss Exchange, Stroz Friedberg etc. He also draws up expert opinions (for the German Federal Ministry, for example) in the fields of Forensic, Irregularities, Risk Management and Internal Control Systems.

For a number of years, Alexander worked for one of the Big Four, where he was responsible for Fraud Investigation & Disputes, Corporate Compliance Services projects as well as Auditing mandates. During his time here, and also in the course of his position as a controller, Alexander gained a practical understanding from different perspectives.

He spent one year in the UK as a postdoctoral visiting fellow, collaborating with the internationally renowned Financial Crime specialist Michael Levi. As a speaker, he has been invited to a range of places including the University of Cambridge, the Credit Suisse Internal Audit specialist training course, the European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing Conference and so forth.
