It's time for the traditional episode: as in previous years, the Student Union (SHSG) is a guest on the podcast. The SHSG is represented by Lisa Militi, the new president, who talks about goals and challenges.
Lisa's career has been shaped by her deep-rooted curiosity and desire to get involved. In the interview, Lisa explains how her previous experiences in the SHSG paved the way for her candidacy and emphasises the importance of getting involved and being informed about student affairs.
She also discusses the electoral process and the dynamics of teamwork that played a central role in the campaign of Lisa and her Vice-President Nicolas Montani. Open communication and a shared vision are the basis for this. The dialogue also covers the new vision of the SHSG, in particular its commitment to sustainability and social inclusion. Lisa presents concrete initiatives aimed at achieving the overarching goals.
Towards the end of the episode, Lisa discusses the responsibilities that come with her role, including the complexities of student representation in institutional governance. She emphasises the collective nature of this responsibility and points out that the support of her team is essential. Lisa concludes by encouraging students to take an active part in campus life and to seek opportunities for personal development. In doing so, she underlines the idea that the university experience extends beyond academic pursuits.
