HSG exhibition stand at the Eastern Switzerland Education Exhibition (OBA)

The University of St.Gallen offers the following six apprenticeships, information about which will be provided at the stand:

• Information and Documentation Specialist 
• Computer scientist in application development
• Computer scientist in platform development
• Operations maintenance specialist 
• Business management assistant 
• Hotel communication specialist

Focus topic: Healthcare professions

At this year's OBA, the focus topic will be in on two professions: of healthcare specialists EFZ (FaGe) and medical practice assistants EFZ (MPA). They will be highlighted under the motto "FaGe's and MPA's in the spotlight". X-ray images, taking blood samples, guessing organs – various exhibition stands offer the opportunity to practise on models. Other exciting topics will be addressed in special shows: Gender stereotypes in career choices, addictive behaviour and mental health. 

Those who are not yet sure which profession suits them best can have a career choice analysis done, provided by the gateway.one apprenticeship exchange. Once you have decided on a profession, you can practice for your first job interview on site. At the stand of the apprenticeship portal yousty.ch, young people can also find out what is involved in a modern application and what to pay particular attention to. Advice is also available to all parents and teachers. A professional photographer will take free application photos at the stand. 

Experience professions and further education up close

The OBA is a marketplace for anyone who wants to learn or further their education. It brings together young people, training companies and various educational institutions and thus makes an important contribution to strengthening Eastern Switzerland as a location for education. A total of around 150 exhibitors – from skilled trades to healthcare and tourism – present their training and further education offers. Every year, the OBA attracts over 20,000 visitors.
