In this workshop, you will learn how to use visual thinking to structure complexity, increase clarity and gain insights of your literature.
Description
An in-depth literature review is at the core of any research project. Dealing with the multiplicity of authors, journals, and discourses can sometimes be a little overwhelming. Visual thinking techniques and tools may enable you to reframe the complexity of your literature. You will also discover that the approach of prototyping and iteration (trial and error) in the literature review process can be very beneficial.
Learning objectives
• Structure literature visually to gain clarity and insights
• Apply the principle of prototyping and iteration to conduct innovative literature reviews
• Benefit from peer-feedback by presenting early prototypes of your literature to a fellow student (teams of two are most innovative)
Form
Short input sessions followed by break-out-session. Participants may directly apply the techniques and tools to their current literature review.
