The reasons for studying at our internationally-oriented university are as diverse as the options a HSG degree course will open up for your future.
Dear prospective students,
As the president of the University of St.Gallen (HSG) I am pleased by your interest in studying at the HSG.
Our university has a very special profile: in addition to helping you acquire specialised knowledge, we would like to provide you with a basis for successful education tailored to meet your individual needs. We also hope to assist you in developing a sense of initiative and responsibility. This is the core idea of our Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes which developed in the course of implementing the Bologna reform. Our students appreciate this approach. They show a high degree of personal responsibility and involvement in the community as well as in their studies. Students design their degree courses as entrepreneurs, so to speak. Our student organisations’ activities also offer you a great many possibilities for this.
We set great store by both the integrative approach, which links the economic sciences, law, humanities and social sciences, and the international diversity of our students.
The web pages for the various degree courses offered at the HSG offer a first impression of these various facets of our alma mater. You will also find more information about the individual Master’s and Bachelor’s programmes as well as answers to important questions you may have before you select your course of study.
I wish you the best in choosing the right course and hope that these pages - and our HSG film - are of assistance in making a well-founded decision.
Thomas Bieger, President of the University of St.Gallen
