Chinese A2/B1 The course „Chinese A2/B1“ is open to students of Chinese language who have solid basic knowledge of Mandarin. It bases on the curricular course “Chinese Level II” of the University of St.Gallen. Your language skills, such as your listening comprehension ability and speaking ability, are going to be trained and promoted, and the recognition of fundamental characters (reading comprehension) will be practiced. In addition to the acquirement of language competence, the cultural competence in dealing with the Chinese world will be strengthened. After your successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of participation. The course is taught through English. The course target is CEFR A2/B1 Level (A Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment) Course Material Discover China, Student’s Book 2 (Macmillan Education), starting from Unit 4 Course Content Topics from the Chinese daily life and business world; predominantly extension of the oral expression; education of the reading skills by means of preferably authentic texts.
