Contextual Studies Contextual studies requires 25% of your study time. As ‘studium integrale’, it sets the core studies within intellectual, as well as cultural contexts. As “studium integrale”, contextual studies place core studies within intellectual and cultural contexts and introduce students to the academic environment. Contextual studies are divided into three subjects: As part of the compulsory curriculum, courses regarding Leadership Skills introduce students to academic writing, and engages them in interdisciplinary thinking within the Integration Project. In Critical Thinking students select from humanities and social sciences courses in the areas of History, Sociology, Philosophy and Psychology. These provide insights to mindsets, value systems and ways of understanding, using specific examples. Courses regarding Cultural Awareness encourage students to learn new languages.
