3 December 2013. The University of St.Gallen has been honoured with this award for its services to the CEMS Master’s Programme in International Management (MIM), which in the academic year of 2012/13 again occupied the top position among all programmes of the CEMS universities. Students rated both the academic quality and the programme-specific services as outstanding throughout.

Students complete the CEMS-MIM programme at two universities of the network; in addition, about 70 globally operating corporations and NGOs are involved in the programme. The CEMS Master has occupied a top place in the Financial Times’s Ranking of Master’s Programmes in Management for years. Its academic director is Dr. Jürgen Brücker, Dean of External Relations & Development at the University of St.Gallen.

In addition, the University of St.Gallen is pleased that in the year of CEMS’s 25th anniversary, HSG Emeritus Professor Heinz Hauser has been appointed an honorary member of the Alliance. Hauser is regarded as a pioneer of the internationalisation of CEMS and the University of St.Gallen alike. At the CEMS Annual Meeting in Barcelona he was honoured, in particular, for his services as Chairman of the Alliance from 1995-99. The present CEMS Chairman is HSG President Thomas Bieger. In 2012, the HSG staged the Annual Events in St.Gallen with more than 2,000 guests.
