100 alumni clubs on five continents

Our alumni association has existed for more than 75 years, making the University of St.Gallen’s network the oldest of its kind in central Europe – and perhaps the most influential.

HSG Alumni is the University of St.Gallen’s official alumni association. With more than 19,000 members and 100 alumni clubs on five continents, it is one of the leading alumni organisations in Europe. By holding events and operating information platforms, the organisation works to foster lifelong bonds between alumni and opportunities for members to network with each other.

HSG Alumni’s activities are divided into three areas:

• friend-raising: maintaining and developing the University of St.Gallen’s alumni network
• brain-raising: encouraging the flow of knowledge and experience between the university and alumni 
• fund-raising: acquiring financial support for university projects that cannot be financed through public funding

HSG Alumni is a not-for-profit, independent organisation that works closely with the university. The work of the volunteer board is supported and coordinated by a permanent office in St.Gallen.
