Admission to a Master's degree course

Admission to our Master’s programmes requires that applicants hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related subject or a university-level Master’s degree in a different subject.

First Master’s degree course
Admission to a Master's degree course requires that you hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree in a related subject, issued by a university or a university of applied sciences.

Second Master’s degree course
If you already hold a recognised university Master’s, Diploma or Licentiate degree (former Swiss equivalent to a Master’s degree) in a different subject, you are also eligible to apply for a second Master’s degree course.

Admission with a university of applied sciences qualification
With a university of applied sciences qualification in business, you can be admitted to the Master’s programmes in business, with supplementary work, as long as your university of applied sciences grade average is at least 5.00.

Admission for prospective students of foreign nationality
Please note that prospective students with a recognised foreign secondary school leaving certificate are required to take an admission test.

Admission criteria for specific programmes
Find out what the admission criteria are applicable for the Master’s programme you are interested in and obtain information on the supplementary work and certification required.

Double-degree programmes (DDP)
Some Master’s programmes offer double-degree programmes. Certain conditions may apply if you wish to participate in double-degree programmes. Admission to a Master’s programme does not automatically entitle you to take part in a double-degree programme. You can only apply for a DDP when you have received a binding confirmation of admission to a Master's programme.

Admission to a supplementary course
At the Master’s Level, you can also take the supplementary course in Business Education and acquire the certificate in Business Journalism.

Language requirements
For admission to a Master’s programme in German, non-native speakers must provide proof of satisfactory proficiency in German by the appropriate deadline.

If you are not a native speaker of English, you must provide proof of sufficient proficiency in English by the appropriate deadline in order to be admitted to a Master’s programme in English.
