General information

Here you can find general information on the programmes we offer in the Master's degree course.

Eine Gruppe von Studenten sitzt im Garten der Universität.

Our Master’s programmes are one-and-a-half-year programmes, with the exception of the Master’s Programme Law and Economics, which is a two-year programme.

Three programmes (Banking and Finance; Strategy and International Management; Quantitative Economics and Finance) are taught exclusively in English. We offer the Master's Programme in Economics and in International Affairs and Governance both in English and in German. The other programmes are in German.

We offer twelve core programmes at the Master’s Level:

Business Administration: 

  • Master's Programme in Informations-, Medien- und Technologiemanagement / Information, Media and Technology Management (IMT) 
  • Master’s Programme in Marketing, Dienstleistungs- und Kommunikationsmanagement / Marketing, Services and Communication Management (MSC) 
  • Master's Programme in Rechnungswesen und Finanzen / Accounting and Finance (MAccFin)
  • Master's Programme in Unternehmensführung / Business Management (MUG)
  • Master's Programme in Banking and Finance (MBF) 
  • Master's Programme in Strategy and International Management (SIM)

Economics: 

  • Master’s Programme in Volkswirtschaftslehre / Economics (MEcon) 
  • Master's Programme in Quantitative Economics and Finance (MiQE/F)

Political science: 

  • Master's Programme in Internationalen Beziehungen und Governance / International Affairs and Governance (MIA)

Law: 

  • Master’s Programme in Rechtswissenschaft / Law (MLS) 
  • Master’s Programme Rechtswissenschaft mit Wirtschaftswissenschaften / Law and Economics (MLE)

Interdisciplinary Programme (Business Administration / Humanities & Social Sciences):

  • Master-Programm in Organisation und Kultur / Organization Studies and Cultural Theory (MOK)

Contextual Studies (compulsory) and an optional mentoring programme (optional) are also a part of every programme. Within Contextual Studies, students are free to choose from the entire range of courses, irrespective of their particular Master’s programme.
