  • Inner structure of the Law School
The decision-making body of the Law School is the committee which comprises the full professors and assistant professors, representatives of the junior faculty and the student body. It selects a Dean to serve for a two-year period.

  • Course structure
The Law School offers three courses of study: Law, Law and Economics and, starting in the Fall Semester 2013, an English speaking Master of International Law. Each course of study is managed by a professor of the Law School who acts as the programme director. They are supported by two administrative directors.

  • Teaching and research
The Law School comprises fifteen chairs and three junior faculty posts. The courses are enriched by the commitment of numerous teaching staff and various guest professors.

The Law School furthermore comprises six Institutes and a Competence Centre, which operate largely autonomously for economic, administrative and organizational purposes, yet work closely with the Law School in terms of personnel.
