Welcome to the chair Hettich
Peter Hettich is assistant professor (tenure track) for public economic law as well as construction, planning and environmental law and serves as a director for the Research Center for Information Law (FIR-HSG).
With his team, he is researching on economic constitutional law and regulated markets, in particular competition law, common market law, economic and social regulation of enterprises and law of public utilities and other public entities.
Regulated areas are, e.g., the audiovisual media sector, telecommunication and energy industry, financial institutions, companies in the public health sector and the gambling industry.
Ongoing research projects include the analysis of cooperative risk regulation, which forms part of the law school's current research focus: “Business Enterprise - Law, Innovation and Risk”.
In these areas, Peter Hettich is teaching at the University of St.Gallen and the University of Basel. Also, he writes expert opinions for private and public entities as well as for the federal, cantonal and local administrations.
