The HSG team (Hans Fricke, Simon Knaus, Sascha Kaelin, Mark, Wakeling, Kotryna Drasutyte) has been quite successful at the "Econometric Game 2012". The particpiation was sponsored by the profile area "Quantitative Economic Methods". The team accessed the final stage of the competition, i.e., has been among the best 10 teams (out of 30). Many universities among the top 10 have collected experience with the econometric games over the years, while for the HSG team this has been the first time. Congratulations on this achievement. |

Prof. Christian Keuschnigg will become the director of Vienna's Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) in summer 2012. He retains a part-time professorship in Public Economics at the University of St. Gallen and remains a director of FGN-HSG. The IHS (www.ihs.ac.at) specializes in theoretical and empirical research in economics and other social sciences and is Austria's premier postgraduate research and training institute since its founding in 1963. |
