Alexandria Research Platform

The Alexandria Research Platform and its three “P’s” (standing for projects, publications, personal profiles) reflects the variety of research at the HSG.

With its Alexandria Research Platform, the HSG is above all endeavouring to guarantee free access from outside its walls to as many HSG research results as possible.

Publishing our research results
We would like to give our researchers all the options available to publish their results. To do so, in December 2008 the HSG passed an open access policy.

Extensive services for researchers and the general public
However, the online platform is not just used as an archive for publications or repository. It offers researchers and an interested public numerous other services too: reports on current research projects, personal profiles of academics, current research news and statistics. By providing working papers, newspaper articles or discussions, Alexandria gives an insight into current projects.

The HSG researchers are also given assistance in archiving their publications themselves. For example, on the research platform there are German and English contract drafts for safeguarding self-archiving rights towards publishers.
