Fellowships for prospective researchers
The SNSF Fellowships offer prospective researchers (doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers) the chance to carry out research at a host institute abroad.
During its three annual meetings, the St.Gallen Research Committee grants numerous SNSF Fellowships for prospective researchers. These fellowships allow young academics who are still at the beginning of their careers to do research at a host institute abroad.
Details about fellowships for research abroad
Fellowships for research abroad are granted in all disciplines which the SNSF funds. They include an amount for living costs, a flat rate for travelling costs and if necessary a contribution to the convention costs. The level of the fellowship depends on marital status, family income and obligations and the living costs in the country concerned. For Ph.D. students the fellowship term is 6-24 months, for post-docs 12-24 months.
