Printing and copying

Visitors to the HSG along with students and staff at our University can print their documents in the library on public PCs or copy them using public photocopiers.

Library building in front of the Alpstein.

To print or copy, you simply need a chip card. You then use a machine to add money to the credit balance on the chip card. Library users who do not have an HSG login can obtain these chip cards at the library information desk.

The chip card costs CHF 5. This amount is deducted the first time you add money to your card with the machine.

A charging station is situated in the basement of the library and accepts only cash.

The public photocopiers are also located in the library’s basement. To make a photocopy, simply place your chip card on the card reader of the copier.

Public printers are connected at almost every working area in the library. Before printing you must authenticate yourself (no password necessary) using the chip card ID printed on every card. You also receive information about the size and cost of the printing job.
