The Service Center Equal Opportunities for Gender Equality is part of the administration of the University and attached to the division HR & Sports

Team
We work in a team of four. Part of our budget is financed by the Federal Programme for Equal Opportunities at Universities. Depending on the project, we also receive assistance from additional employees (students).

Main topics
We deal with the most different terms of employment and conditions of a career for women and men at the university. This is valid equally for students, collaborators of the university administration as well as for the scientific staff. It is our job, to act upon the equalization of both genders and to support equal chances.

• Development of measures for the improvement of equal chances and gender equality at the university
• Development and monitoring of measures to increase the percentage of women in higher academia
• Offers for the promotion of young researchers with focus on women
• Gender monitoring
• Office The Committee for the Equality of Women and Men (see Committee for Gender Equality)
• Counselling of scientific and teaching staff, students and administrative collaborators
• Counselling of mothers and fathers within reconciliation of family and study/job, or career planning
